The Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa definitely deserves a spot in the top 5 on my list of favorite Orange County wedding venues. If you’re looking to hold your ceremony and reception at the same venue, The Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa is a must see. This place is a feast for the eyes- elegant staircases and balconies, majestic fountains, and a bold wrought iron gate, just to name a few. I’m a big fan of including cool architectural elements in wedding images, so I have way too much fun at Turnip Rose weddings!
Brianna and Teren incorporated several Jewish traditions into their wedding, such as the signing of the Ketubah, the stomping of the glass, and my personal favorite: the hora! In the early years of assisting my dad at weddings, I would tell him of my desire to do the hora at my wedding because it looked like so much fun. The Durell Coleman Band managed to appeal to everyone from the grandparents to the college kids, and kept the dance floor packed the entire night. This wedding was so exciting, I forgot I was actually working. A big thank you to Brianna, Teren, your families, and friends for being an awesome crowd to hang out with, and for allowing me to document your most special day. Don’t forget to check out Brianna and Teren’s engagement pics, and their neato slideshow!
Someone forgot their pants! Made for a fun pic though!
Having a 2nd photographer means 2 different points of view. This series of images was taken when Teren first saw his bride on their wedding day.
Us photographers LOVE the soft light a big window like this creates.
The following 2 images are another great example of why 2 photographers are better than 1. The 2nd photog’s image directly below was taken from a balcony, while the I captured the image below that on the ground level.
As Brianna & Teren exited the ceremony, here’s the pic I took…
and the 2nd photog. snapped this awesome pic showing a completely different perspective.
Hora!!
Ok, just 1 more hora pic. So cute!
