LDS Temple Newport Beach Wedding

A Mormon wedding ceremony taking place in the Temple (aka “sealing”) is a sacred event in which a man and woman are united as husband and wife not merely “till death do us part” but, for all eternity. Once the sealing has been completed, the newlyweds exit the Temple and are greeted by close friends and family. The Newport Beach LDS Temple offers a plethora of photogenic backdrops, including extravagant architecture, beautifully manicured landscaping, a really cool fountain, and a massive staircase. Probably the most important element of the Temple to include in photographs is the Angel Maroni, which is the golden statue at the very top of the Temple spire.
Shae and JR were sealed at the majestic LDS Temple in Newport Beach, followed by an elegant reception aboard Electra Cruises’ Eternity yacht, also in Newport Beach. Having fabulous wedding photos was very important to Shae, so we had several discussions before the wedding about the style of images she is attracted to, and what her wedding photo priorities were. I think we got some pretty good shots!
PS- I am in LOVE with Shae’s gown, and would have bought it for myself if I saw it while shopping for my wedding gown!
PS #2- Thank you Brooke for referring yet another bride to me! I LOVE referrals, and you always send me the sweetest, most beautiful brides to photograph!
