Time for another sneaky peeky of a family portrait session! Leigh and Nathan are some of the coolest people I’ve come across in my work. They’re so warm and inviting, I feel like I’ve known them for much longer than I actually have. We first met during their search for a wedding photographer in the summer of 2008, then I photographed their wedding later that year at Calamigos Ranch in Burbank. Needless to say, I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph the newest member of their family! Here’s a sneak peek of Leigh and Nathan’s first official family portrait session!
Nothing like some good ol’ fashioned tickling to put a smile on everyones’ face!
Trying to make a toddler (especially a boy) sit still is practically impossible. You just have to roll with the punches…If he wants to play on the swing, I shall play too! Soon enough, he’s having fun with his new playmate and forgets about the camera. This image was taken at the beginning of our play session. He’s still a little shy, but warming up…
Nathan hired me a couple years ago for some talent headshots (he’s an aspiring actor). I had just baked cookies when Leigh & Nathan arrived at my home office & studio that day, so naturally I shared the yummyness. I bake cookies in cupcake tins so they’re super soft & doughy. Leigh must have liked them, because when I showed up at their home for their family session, she had a huge platter of cupcake cookies waiting for me! That was one of the sweetest things ever, thank you Leigh! The peanut butter cookies were AMAZING.
