Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa Wedding

We’ve embarked on a few trips to TJ’s Lake Arrowhead home in the past, usually to wake board and do things that I don’t feel are appropriate to discuss on my blog. This time though, it was a very special trip because TJ would be marrying the love of his life- Ryane! TJ and Ryane are dear friends to Chriss and I, so it was such an honor to document their wedding weekend. We packed up the cameras, the baby, and Chriss’s parents and headed to Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. We were lucky enough to have Chriss’s parents stay in a hotel room next door to us and watch Sadie while we worked and partook in the wedding festivities. SO happy we did that so we were able to enjoy some baby-free time. Chriss had the rare opportunity to be a part of the wedding party as a groomsmen :) Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the post to see the impromptu appearance by some random pirates (yes, I said pirates) and see what we did with Ryane and TJ the day after the wedding…It involves wake boarding and wedding attire ;-) TJ’s friends harassing him at the rehearsal dinner TJ and the guys got ready at his Lake Arrowhead home Writing a note to his bride-to-beCornhole and Fireball. That’s how the guys prepare for the wedding day. Groomsmen gifts Bridesmaid gift bags Beautiful mint colored letterpress wedding invitations Really unique choice for bridesmaid dresses – mint dresses with a lace overlay by Dolce Vita This was one of my favorite moments from the wedding day- Ryane getting emotional right after putting on her gown. Oooohhhh lala! Ryane’s Temperley London wedding gown was the PERFECT choice. Simple, casual, feminine. One of the best first looks I’ve ever seen. If you know Ryane and TJ, you know they’re a little reserved when it comes to publicly showing their emotions, so I was overjoyed when I captured these very emotional images. Dance party! I told him to whisper something naughty in her ear. Must have been really naughty! The lobby of the Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa has some beautiful spots for photography. Another one of my favorite images from the day Umm, can you say “model?” Grrrr! Had to put one pic of me, Chriss, and Sadie with the bride :) Slice of a tree stump = cool guest book Couldn’t decide which first dance images to show because I really love all three of these next images. One of the guests’ camera flashes went off just as I was taking this photo, and it actually made for a really interesting shot. No flash here and I love how romantic it looks. My 2nd photographer, Angel, captured this image. No flash here either, just a very high ISO and low shutter speed to pick up some of the ambient light. TJ must have been hungry because he couldn’t wait to dig in to his dinner! Hahaha! Sorry TJ, had to call you out just once ;) Drool-worthy ombre cake. Looks pretty and tasted delicious. There was some sort of pirate convention going on at Lake Arrowhead Resort. We were lucky enough to be graced by the presence of these interesting people… Wake boarding on Lake Arrowhead the day after the wedding! So proud of them for committing to this idea and actually following through with it!
