Maternity portraits are a must have, especially when you’re expecting your first child. So many of my clients tell me that they didn’t initially know how special their maternity photos would end up being, and that they’re so glad they had that part of their lives documented. It’s something most people realize after their precious baby grows up, and they have their maternity pictures to remind them about the awesome experience of being pregnant. This was an especially important portrait session, because the adorable belly you see below belongs to my little cousin Natalie (aka Lil Cous). We shot the session on a freezing cold day in Seminole, Florida in our grandparents huge backyard. It’s a sentimental spot for our family- our parents grew up playing in that yard, and my cousins and I did the same. Kudos to Natalie for braving the chilly weather to get these beautiful shots…I love you so much Lil Cous & Jon! Can’t wait to photograph little Emma Lynne!
