I got a phone call about a month ago from one of my really good clients saying that he was throwing his wife a surprise birthday party and needed me to photograph the event (see Baby P’s 1st birthday party here). The game plan had already been defined- a limo takes Jennifer, Ken, and Baby P to what Jen thinks is a private dinner at Seven Degrees. When the waiter offers to give the family a sneak peek of a “new art gallery” in a different area of the building, Jen is instead surprised by a room full of her loved ones! The amazingly talented Pegy Rizzuto of Premiere Events Group teamed up with Ken to create this surprise party of a lifetime. Pegy didn’t cut any corners when it came to designing this event; she made the dessert buffet and many of the other creative details herself! Oh, did I mention that she pulled all this off in only 4 weeks!! Jen’s party guests decked themselves out in light-up necklaces and rings, feasted on filet mignon, visited the photo booth, and even had their caricatures drawn. Can’t wait to see what Ken does for Jennifer’s next milestone birthday!!
The room: set up and ready for Jen’s arrival.
Seven Degrees is equipped with video cameras and technology galore. We got to watch the “private dinner” unfold before our eyes, and get super excited to surprise Jen.
This is definitely the most extravagant (and delicious) dessert buffet I’ve ever seen!
The theme of the party was “Jen: A Work of Art,” and Pegy’s candy buffet creation perfectly reflected that.
As if the dessert buffet wasn’t enough…Check out the groovy, blinged-out cake!
